[Cham] savait que Dieu avait choisi son père comme honoré chef de la famille humaine, le considérant comme digne de foi et lui communicant ses desseins. C’est avec Noé et ses fils, Cham inclus, que Dieu après le déluge renouvelle son alliance leur offrant à eux et à leur postérité sa bénédiction. En refusant d’honorer son père, il refuse d’honorer tout gouvernement, naturel, civil, ecclésiastique, humain et divin.
